I talked with the guy who painted the bags and he welcomes the business.  His name is Jason Volanski, he is in West Frankfort, Illinois.  His phone number is 618-932-2695.

Brah, looking schweeeeet ... I want to eventually do the same but with a set of BadDad extended bags instead and with some Screamin Eagle cutouts with LED's behind for the brake lights.  Nice job all around.  Curious to know the total cost, all said and done?  Aloha

He charged me $500 for the paint job.  He did it for that price because I bought primered bags and lids.  He will charge more if you have a set already painted since he has to take off all of the hardware and strip them.  I ordered the bags and lids, keyed locks, and the hardware kit 90948-00 that had all of the hardware.  I ordered it all on a day when the local dealer was having a sale so I got 20% off.  When all was said and done I had about $1500 in them.  I think it was worth every penny.  For what a set of used bags goes for, I am convinced the new primered bags are the way to go.  My locks are keyed same as my ignition and all of the hardware is new.

Is that a Corbin Seat I have one and just wondered if it is safe without the strap on from the original.

Great looking job. I bought a set of hard bags for my FLHRSE3 some time ago, but haven't gotten around to getting them painted yet. Maybe later this year.

Yes, it is a Corbin touring seat.  It is a very heavy seat and fits very tight. I don't know that the strap provides any additional safety anyway.

The bags look really great. While I'm deployed I'm looking at getting some bags for my bike. Kind of coming home present. However, finding some on the internet has been a pain in the butt. I need to find some that are primered as well. Get the paint job done when I get home. They look good and I'm eager to ride myself, going on 5 monthssss
