Too bad there does not seem to be a standard procedure that is always followed.  Quality control would dictate that this would be true, but "quality" is obviously a relative term these days.  Enjoy the ride!

That's not all "factory."  The short and sudden run at the assembly plant generally shows up as several tenths of a mile.  The rest is the PDI run that's always supposed to be done pre-delivery at the dealership.

They also used to state during the tour that a few bikes per day were pulled and taken on a short loop outside for QA.  That could explain your miles too?

Correct, 2-4 bikes per day chosen at random undergo an extensive audit and are taken on a short test ride.

I got mine delivered with 3 miles on it. would rather me ride it 1st than the the clean up guy at the dealership.

I got my 10 SEUC with .3 on odometer. They must have left it alone.

Yes, but they wear soundproof ear defenders as not to hear the ballbearingsinacoffeecan "sounds" and blindfolds so as not to see the orange peeled paint, fingerprints, bubbled chrome....bastiges....
