I posted this on someone else's post but thought I should start my own to get maximum expossure.
I've got an '09 SERG and have been trying to resolve the same dilemma.  I'm not happy with the stock system but not sure about getting some slip ons or getting the cats removed and going with the Fullsac baffles.  I want a little deeper tone but don't want it real loud for riding all day.  I  was interested it Ken's description of the Fullsac sound.  Would you go with the 1.75, 2, or 2.5 baffles?  Do you need to get the bike remapped afterward?
Another topic.  There are those who believe that in this "Obamanation", we are headed down the road where eventually only EPA stamped mufflers will be legal in all 50 states.  If that is true, would it be better to buy some slip ons and keep your stock mufflers just in case or damn the torpedos, full speed ahead and have the cats removed and modify the stock mufflers with Fullsac baffles?

With all the great feedback on this site about the Fullsacs, I decided to go that route. When people start selling products from huge names in the business and replacing them with the Fullsacs, that says a lot!

The Fullsac site has a few sound files, and there are some on here as well, to give you an idea of how they sound. Or with all the folks on the board, maybe you can find someone local to let you hear their set-up and get a better idea.

One of the good things about the fullsac baffles (I have the 2.0") is that the muffler bodies remain stock. No cop, anywhere, will look past the EPA stamp. They'll never know what's inside.

I've got 2.0 baffles and have the Fullsac X pipe. I got the baffles and installed them first. We like the sound... nice low rumble and doesn't piss the neighbors off (V&H on my Deluxe let EVERYONE know when I was heading to work). Riders behind me appreciate the baffles much better than the V&H and can hear my stereo at times as well.
If I were to do it over, I'd give more thought to the 1.75 - I'm looking for the tone, not the volume... I was afraid the 1.75 might be too low... bottom line, I'm happy with the baffles and love the X pipe addition.
I'm in N Virginia.. don't know where you are but offer to let you hear them if you're within range once the ice clears.

When you say that you would give the 1.75 baffles more thought in hindsight, do you mean that you think the 2.0's are too loud?  Did you get the cat removed?  Thanks for the input, I'm about ready to put an order in at Fullsac and appreciate the feedback.

No, I don't think the 2.0's are too loud, but think the 1.75 would have given me the volume that works for me at this time. The 2.0's are comfortable. After riding the past 3 years with the V&H big radius I'm ready for a break.
I was going to remove the cat, but Fullsac released the X pipe which works with the stock shields and is black ceramic. I took the X pipe for 2 reasons: (1) blind trust that FullSac did the X right to help with torque across a broad band and (2) liked the idea of the black ceramic under the shields... my preference is to not see the blueing reflecting in the bike.

Any input on how much cooler the ceramic pipe is? I'm still getting used to my bike and have already put my boot on the pipe once and left rubber, and burned a hole in my textile riding pants... so I am hoping the x-pipe will help me out a little in this area as well... lol

Same problem I had on my '09......ended up putting a little sheet metal piece on the end of the floor board to help remind me to keep my foot on the board, not let it slip back to the pipe.
Worked for me......put it on my '10 as well!

I've only got about 1500 miles on the bike and took delivery in November. Recent snow storms here have grounded the bike to within ice limits (my driveway). So I didn't notice the heat problem before I changed, but I also haven't gotten into any traffic conditions. When I asked Steve why on the black ceramic, he said because it handled the heat better. I can't help but think that NOT having the cat there behind my foot would be the major factor in the heat and that the ceramic would be an additional factor.. I also usually have my feet fairly forward (6'1") and don't know of my foot hitting the pipe.
You could also try the floorboard extenders, I've put them on and it's improved my comfort level.

the quarter sized hole wasn't enough to make me pitch them... but I did blow out the leg zipper today... not too pissed; they do have about 40K miles on them, and I've worn them to every state but Hawaii, and to Prudhoe Bay and back... so I guess they were about due for a replacement... lol
