Thanks for all the input.  Lots of different options.

You will probably end up like most of us:
Shelves full of mufflers!
Try riding along with some buddies that have what you think you'll like, get their feedback, and listen to the sound.

I'm hitting the swap meet this month. I plan on unloading a bunch of extras!!

From all the positive responses about Fullsac, I think I'm going to go with the x pipe and the 1.75 baffles.  I was a little concerned about the warranty issue but after talking to the dealer I was told that unless a problem could be traced back to an alteration, they would honor the warranty.  Since remapping would undoubtedly richen the mixture because of the increased air flow, I wouldn't think there would be a problem.  I hope.  Thanks again everyone.

Got a set of SE (EPA approved) cans with .175 Fullsac baffles for sale. Sound is great, more throttle more noise, cruise no need to turn up stereo. Plans have changed. PM if your interested or have questions.

I've got 2.0 baffles and have the Fullsac X pipe. I got the baffles and installed them first. We like the sound... nice low rumble and doesn't piss the neighbors off (V&H on my Deluxe let EVERYONE know when I was heading to work). Riders behind me appreciate the baffles much better than the V&H and can hear my stereo at times as well.
If I were to do it over, I'd give more thought to the 1.75 - I'm looking for the tone, not the volume... I was afraid the 1.75 might be too low... bottom line, I'm happy with the baffles and love the X pipe addition.
I'm in N Virginia.. don't know where you are but offer to let you hear them if you're within range once the ice clears. :2vrolijk_21:
I recently got Fullsac's 2" baffles, and the x-pipe should be ordered soon.  I've thought about installing the 2" baffles first, since I have them.  Did you tune your bike after you put in the 2" baffles?

Thanks for any input,

Rick

Rick:
I got the 1.75" baffles and the x pipe.  I did re tune after installing Steve's map.  My bike ran well with Steve's map but it did guzzle fuel.  I've since retuned but can't get a read on the fuel efficiency since I live in Central Oregon and the snow has been blowing sideways for the last week.  When the weather warms up, and I can burn a  tank of fuel, I'll let you know.  BTW I wouldn't want the bike to be any louder.  The 1.75's are just right for my taste.

Installed the 2.0 inch baffles on Chitlin's new SESG yesterday.  Used the dremel with a grinding stone to remove welds on stock baffle--worked well and was easy to avoid damage to muffler body.  Left the stock packing in the muffler, drilled 1/4" hole 1 1/2" from end and installed new baffle using a wood block and hammer to drive baffle in.  Did 200 mile test ride and am very happy with the sound!  Sounds like Rinehart duals but not quite as loud (and I don't think Rineharts are too loud).  All went smoothly and everything went back together perfectly---mostly due to the advice and shared experiences here on this website!  This forum has been a very valuable source of information, but I haven't yet decided what tuner to use.  I think the guys at the HD dealerships have been told to always recommend their own product, and one service manager told me he didn't like the PC because it added more "connections"!  Two others told me the PC has a high failure rate due to moisture.   Right now, I'm leaning toward the Zipper's Thundermax w/ autotune over the PC V w/ autotune because of space, so it will probably be the Thundermax or the HD supertuner.  But first I will install the Vance & Hines Power Dual headpipes--which I chose over the Fullsac "B" headpipes mostly because I don't really like the looks of the stock heatshields.
