My 2008 Duracell came with the heated seat plugged into the accessory outlet.  Should there be another plug in addition to the accessory plug that has direct current from the ignition switch bypassing the accessory switch?

Other folks in the past have indicated there was a separate connector for the seat, so the accessory connector was still open and available for other things.  You may have to dig around in the wiring near the battery to find it, or there is always the possibility it didn't get installed for some reason.  Just look for an unused connector that matches the one coming from the seat.

BTW, when folks buy the heated seat kit for a regular bike, the instructions tell them to use the accessory connector, or they can buy a separate harness that acts as a "Y" connector (Part No. 70264-94A).  See attached pdf file.

yes....there is a second plug for the heated seat....in addition to the accessory switch plug.  

It's not been uncommon for some dealer techs to plug the heated seat connector into the wrong plug during setup...

Thanks, I will go on another search for the extra plug tomorrow even if I have to remove the battery.

Shouldn't have to remove the battery, usually it is there in front of the battery as is the accessory plug.

Breaking News:  There is not an extra plug on my FLHTCUSE3. Checked everywhere under seat and on sides and no extra plug.  I guess mine got left off in assembly.

Dig some more, I have a SE3 and my seat is plugged into a seperate plug...

It should be located forward of the battery...more under the end of the gas tank.  Anything's possible, but yours would be the first instance of hearing one was left off...

I know it looks like a rat's nest, but the plug is there.  Just keep looking, I had to dig around for awhile to find the accessory plug when I added the moto lights.

Dig away, it's there.  They connected mine to the front accessory that is on the fairing cap accessory switch.  If memory is right I beleive mine was to the left of the battery towards the back.

Cable is in harness behind fuse box on the left side of the battery. Remove ECM and plastic battery cover. Cable at connector should be marked "heated seat", two wires, black and orange w/red stripe. Should be there, but anything is possible!

When you find it, you could make a courtesy call to your dealer and show them where it is located....

(or you could pay them a visit and show them where it is located  - and then hand them an invoice for a $90 per hour service call - to compensate you for your efforts!!  Call it your "reverse set up fee charge" )

Got nothing to do tomorrow and will dive in again to try and find extra plug.  Thanks for all interest in trying to help me find it. Have been busy  installing cooler fans and oil filter relocation kit.  Both are great ideas!

I know mine is there, but I can't find it.  When I got the bike, I did not have to switch on the accessory switch for the seat to work.  Then the seat stopped working.  I took it to the dealer and it came back working.  Then I noticed that I had to switch on the accessory switch to make it work now.  I can't find the original plug now.  I took it back to the dealer and they told me that there wasn't another one.  I am assuming there was a problem with the plug, so they either hid it or cut it off altogether.  If anyone finds the time to take a photo under their seat showing both plugs, I sure would appreciate it.  I'll send it over to my dealer and let them know that it's time to fix my bike the right way.

I hope this helps. There are two female connectors under the seat of my '09 SEUC:
 
Heated Seat (factory label) 4 pin connector with only two wires;
 Orange w/Red stripe - from P&A (power & accessories) 15 amp fuse
 Black - Ground

ACC (w/rubber plug and my label) 4 pin connector with 4 wires
 Orange w/Red stripe - from P&A  15 amp fuse
 Red w/Yellow stripe - from Brake Light circuit
 Orange - from fairing ACC switch
 Black - Ground

ACC connector is fed from harness under fuel tank.
Heated Seat is fed from harness behind fuse block on left side of bike, adjacent to battery.

Now go get 'em!! Good Luck
