I have been told but have not tried to install the above mentioned LED bulbs, That they are to large for the oil temp gauge, but they do work on the other smaller gauges.   Doc

They (WLED-RHP5) work fine in the Oil Temp Gauge.  The difference when you replace the bulbs with LED is that with the EXCEPTION of the Oil Temp Gauge the bulb holders pull straight out.  They are help in with pressure.  The Oil Temp Gauge bulb holder is turned "counter clockwise" to remove and "clockwise" to reinstall.  Pay close attention to the position of the bulb holder when you remove it to put in the LED.  Also remember that the LED is polarized and only works if installed properly oriented. If it does not light then remove and turn it 180 degrees then test it.  Getting to the bulb holders is a big PIA if you have big hands. :)

I tried the WLED-RHP5 in the newest revision Oil Temp Gauge, they are too big for the hole in the printed circuit board inside the gauge.

Maybe the older gauges will work but I dont think these new ones work.

I just ordered the oil temp gauge. I guess I will have to see what it looks like when it gets here.

That's the same number for the gauge I used.  Ordered mine about a month ago.  The RHP5 bulb would not fit due to a clear plastic housing on the inside of the gauge.  I was able to get the bulb through the hole in the gauge but it would not go all the way in due to the plastic housing so I had to go with the RHP bulb which is shorter.  I'm interested to see what wreckman finds out.  If the RHP5 works for him I will take a closer look at my gauge.

I had the same problem with the LED bulbs not wanting to go into the guage...
The problem was the clear barrel (sleeve) inside the body of the housing of the oil guage...
I simply removed the clear plastic barrel with a small detail pic and now the bulb fits just fine...

I still have my fairing off so I will be removing the plastic sleeve from the gauge tomorrow.

Thanks - I appreciate it.

Thanks Paul - Got the plastic sleeve out of the gauge - put in the longer bulb.  Gauge really glows red.

I appreciate it.

Bluegoose had me nervous, but the RHP5 installed fine in the oil temp gauge along with the other three today.  Thanks for the tip.

Got my oil temp gauge today. It has the plastic tube in it. Does it just pull out?
I ordered the LEDs and will do the install when they come.

I could not get mine to pull out - it was glued around the top.  I took the circuit board off the back and used a dremel to lightly grind around the glued area.  Then I was able to use a pick to pull the tube out.  Just take your time you want to grind the plastic tube not melt it.  Once you get the plastic tube out the RHP5 bulb will fit without any problems.
