It will be near impossible to tell what dealer will get what number out of the 999 until all are built and processed for shipment.Harley will try to ship those earliest with deposits already on the dealers inventory. If you want one get serious. These will not sit around like the others and there are so few. The longer you wait the worse your chances of getting one.

Have talked to five dealers about these, and have been told the following:  999 being built as we speak; One will go to each dealer in the U.S. (about 625) and the rest are being shipped overseas.  Dealers I have talked to are asking $3,000 to $8,000 premium over MSRP.  One dealer in the West was notified last week that his is done and in transit; expecting it anyday.  Another dealer in Midwest was notified of projected May 28 ship date.  All five dealers I have talked to have their one sold, sight unseen.

Here is his info....

To all my CVO friends out there, I've had a few uncertain unfortunate sequence of events happen here lately, in which I may have to unwillingly depart with my new 2010 CVO. I thought I'd post this out there for anyone interested in aquiring one. It has 450 miles and is 008 of 999.   Anyone interested , can call email me at chocheboy@aol.com. J T

When you state that there are so few and that these will not sit around like the others   -----   I am confused?   Are they not making approximately --  1000 in black  --   1000 in blue   --  1000 in red  --  and 1000 amber?  Actually I think the production numbers for the red, blue & amber are actually down (which would make them even more rare) to accomodate for 1000 in black, but I am not sure of the numbers. I thought when I left Sturgis last year I would be able to find an Amber SEUC fairly easy. I contacted over 50 dealers in several states, with no luck. All of the bikes were either sold or had pre-deposits or for some other reason --unavailable. Then I put a deposit on a sure thing (blue) coming in, in about one month from my local dealer. Two weeks later I found an amber colored just 30 miles from my home, just sitting  on the showroom floor, which I purchased (got deposit back on the blue). One week later I am called by 3 different dealers in three different states that I had talked to previously, Guess what --  they all had that amber I was looking for now. Within one month I was called by 4 other dealers that now had the amber bikes for sale. The week after I rode mine home, there were three of the amber bikes in showroom floors in Denver. So why is a black one any more rare than a blue, amber, or red if they are making approximately the same number of each color??  I suggest that the black ones will be just as easy to get as the other colors, after they have been in production another month or two. Remember the black is a mid year production and the mid year just started a month or two ago, so obviously they are harder to get right now since they have not produced a large quantity yet. IMO

I wondered how long it was going to take members here to figure out that "Limited Production" is just a sales tool.
Hype is all it is.
The 09's and 10's SEUC's were produced in smaller numbers than this mid year "Limited Production" bike.
If you have one of these bikes or are buying one please enjoy it but don't go waving the "Limited Production" flag/banner because you will be laughed at.
Just sayin. . . . . .
