OK guys here's the scoop on the 666 bike (short story). I became the very proud owner of #627 on 5-13-10, took Fri. off work (5-14-10) to ride my new scoot, went to a buddy's house who also planned on riding that day, and found that the shorty windshield was not going to work for me, called the dealer I bought the bike from looking for a Klockworks or something like it, nothing, so my buddy says, call Sturgis (Michigan), call down and they say "Sure, got a couple demo's, try before you buy" and off we go, pulled in the parking lot and 2 guys come running out of the store before I even get the bike parked, we start talking; what number;how do you like it; how many miles (125 at that time) then the salesman says "Hey, you want to see the 666 bike, we got it last night", so we go back to the service dept. and there she sits, then he says "Here's the kicker, the guy that had the deposit on the bike..........Is the local UNDERTAKER" (Funeral home director) and yes he bought the bike. I tried the and bought the smoke 8.5" and love it, and the bike, as a matter of fact she go's in tomorrow for her 1000 mile check up. I hope I haven't bent any rules here, my first post, have enjoyed reading the post from everyone the past couple of months, not much of a typist but had to tell you guys the story that YES there really is a 666 and it's on the road in Michigan.

My dealer states "740 state side" the rest will go worldwide. They are 667 Harley Dealership witin the states and each dealership will receive one. Can anyone else comment on this?

Hell of a first post! Glad you solved the 666 problem, some people here started to loose sleep over this. If you have time, why don't you visit the new member thread at http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?board=30.0 and introduce yourself and your bike(s).

Ride safely,

Yep, great first post!

Funny the undertaker got that one.

The stock shield on this bike caused so much helmet buffeting, it was the first thing I replaced.  Seat so far is ok but for long rides (300+ miles) I use an Air Hawk so seat doesn't matter as much then. Handlebars fit me a little better than my 07 - kept those stock too. So far really like the way it corners. Zumo 660 in dash - love that long time.

I have 767 (stated in another thread) but was at my dealer today for a small issue and saw number 773 uncrated in the back.  I asked on the bike and so far, it is not spoken for.  It was their first and only dark CVO.  If you know of someone looking it is in Allen TX at Harley of Dallas.

I received a call Tuesday the 25th of May from Bradenton, FL. My bike is in ...#839.  They had just rec'd the paper work Monday night saying it shipped, and Tuesday morning it arrived.  I'm picking it up on Saturday.  It wasn't supposed to ship until June 1st.

The story I got goes like this.
000 was prototype only and will not be sold, 3 HD exec bought 1 each, 650 bikes stay in the US, the rest over seas.
Hey, these stories are just like fishing tales now though. LOL.

Salesman called me today & said a Black CVO just arrived & they were uncrating it now. I'am out of town so i cant go down there to check it out. It will probably be sold before i can get back into town thou. They wanted 5K over... Oh well i wouldn't pay over anyways for a bike that will loose prolly 10-15k next year anyways. I'am sure there will be some used ones showing up on flea bay in time... He didn't know what number it was yet..

Harley Dealership just called " The bike has arrived" #860 of 999 in Gilbert, AZ. It will be ready for pick-up on Sat., must of course hang some parts. Off to the mountains on Sat. to ride the old 666 route on the eastern part of the state. Pictures to follow.........

Called salesman at the stealer awhile ago & inquired what number the bike was. He said it was # 776. He also stated that all the salesman went to sales manager & expressed there concerns of selling the bike for 5K over. He said the sales manager said they would sit on bike till someone bought it for $42,000. Told him it wouldn't be me paying that much. I said i would do MSRP & not any more... Told him next year when someone wanted to get the next lastest & greatest out there they would only get what the auctions were bringing.. He didn't disagree with it at all... I'am still going to go & look at it this weekend thou..

Sorry Newseultra07, crappy way of doing business. That sucks! Not sure if my dealer liked it when I got mine for MSRP week ago or not, but that was the deal I locked in February when first introduced on internet and he took my down payment.
Even at MSRP it took a lot for me to sign those papers. Love my bike but...Can't say I would be handling anything too much different than you right now. 5k over!
