I wondered how long it was going to take members here to figure out that "Limited Production" is just a sales tool.
Hype is all it is.
The 09's and 10's SEUC's were produced in smaller numbers than this mid year "Limited Production" bike.
If you have one of these bikes or are buying one please enjoy it but don't go waving the "Limited Production" flag/banner because you will be laughed at.
Just sayin. . . . . .

SBB

Thanks for that advice.  Good thing I bought the refundable flag/banner :coolblue:

I got mine April 1st. It is #6 of 999.  !!!

On Jan 4th I saw the brochure for this bike.
My dealer asked if I wanted one. My response was only if I can have #1.
He said forget it!
But #6 is a very low number.
Congrats.

Century HD in Medina OH is getting one and has money down on it at $39,995.00

I too saw it at the bike show and the blacked out pieces are right out of the catalog and looks out of place to me. Also the nav system jumper cord looks cheesy. The MoCo should have reworked the wire harness to make it work correctly and intergrated in the whole audio system.

Sure some Will love it; just my 2 cents and the great thing about all of the color and options available. We all make the bike we want in the long run and love them for what we make them out to be.

I'm still a little pissed that the MoCo came out with an even more limited edition after we all purchased ours bikes early in the year because they are a limited edition CVO.

The big question is what if you are in the market for a new 2011, do you buy one early or wait until mid year to see if another limited edition comes out? I think the MoCo is disrespecting their loyal CVO fans a bit by these midyear special editions of a special edition line of bikes.

I personally could care less about the 1 of...  I'm pissed they stuck us with the POS nav unit instead of the Garmin.

If the 2010.5 SEUC in Crimson Mist Black/Dark Slate comes with the Zumo 660 does the radio still have the nav feature with the cd's?

I ageee.  I would rather wait for the 999 bike to come out. Maybe by that time they will decide to hide the cord coming from the Garmin. What is so special about the #1 on the vin plate??? Is it any different than #2 or #999 ??

Probably not Chip...all they had to do was not include the optional GPS receiver module to the HK head unit.  That module used to be, not sure if it is anymore, in the P&A so anyone could add it to their HK head units.

I'm not sure what all the hype is (and that's all it is is hype) about the XX of 999.  My SESG is just as limited as they only made approx 1000 in Spiced Rum.  Only difference, I don't have a number plate.  Does that make the "limited" Ultra any more limited?  Hardly.  Remember they numbered all of the Copper/Black 105th Anniversay bikes, so I suppose having XX of 5800 makes them limited too?  Putting a numbered plate on a bike does not necessarily make it limited, the amount produced is what makes it truely limited.  Now if the "limited" SEUC had been XX of 350, I would say you'd have a valid claim to having a truely limited production model.  All CVOs are technically limited production motorcycles... Each and every Harley is actually a one of one, since every owner finishes it to his or her own taste. For the Moco to number visibly some models is marketing. I used to own a teal 2005 SEEG, so far the smallest run of any Touring CVO's, and next week I'll take delivery of the Blackie. I don't care about how many they built, if it's numbered or not, just that it is mine ;-)).

Ride safely everyone,
Louis

PS: And it was the 105th.

Finks HD in Ohio is getting there 2010.5 SEUC in Crimson Mist Black/Dark Slate sometime this month.
They are selling at m.s.r.p. plus 750.00 prep and freight if anyone is interested.

I like the bike and the color but SBB is right. They use the limited production as a sales tool to generate excitement about this bike.  It works!

OK! Who cares about the numbers that are being built (#1-999) It's a cool looking bike and if you want something bad, money is not the question. What's the highest number (#1-999) seen thus far???
