Looks like a pellet gun but the trajectrory is elevated. It happened in my driveway. The body shop says it will cost $490 to make repairs. It had to be a billion to one shot.

check your comprehensive coverage. it should cover vandalism if your deductible is not too high

Yeah, My policy has no deductible for comp, so I am good to go in that area. I just hope the adjuster lets me get the work done at the shop I prefer.

For $490, I'd probably pay it on my own if they didn't, just to have the peace of mind that it was done right.

Gotta agree with Brian...  Your going to look at that spot for years.  I'd have it fixed by the best shop around and pay for the repair myself if necessary.

With a bigger gun!!! get it painted where you feel it will be done right, even if you have to pay for it.

Your insurance company has to let you get it fixed at the shop of your choice. They may not pay as much, but it is still up to you where to go to repair it.

Pheewwww.  Thought it was a '70 GTX that was shot (one of my all-time favorite cars, along with the Challenger I had).  Still sucks finding that in the morning, however.

Somewhere in your neighboard hood there is a kid who just recently got a pellet rifle.  I would casually ask if anyone knows anyone that had one I could borrow to shoot a pesky chipmonk and see if the person is across the street.  Or then again if the car sets out it could be someone driving around at night taking random pot shot to be wise a$$.

Any way it should would piss me off, nice cars by the way.
