Latest new parts release from Harley

Just saw the current "new parts" release posted on HD's website.  Usually the releases attendant to the dealer shows have at least something interesting.  This bunch seemed pretty unimpressive.

Still no matching faced oil pressure gauge. They we do know have even more paint sets and what look to be pretty uncomfortable seats available.  HD branded fork locks and chains, a pretty ugly piece of chrome trim to surround the radio and lower instruments, and other sundry but generally useless stuff.

One item of perhaps the most interest (at least to me) as an HD offered air horn.  The link below is to its page.  Going to have to reserve judgement til it's seen in real life though.  The picture isn't anything to write home about.  With the compressor itself hanging there (in black, not even chrome) on the side of the engine my first reaction is that it isn't too appealing so far as looks are concerned.  Real appearance may be better though.

  Not very attractive, especially for $124.95, plus Model specific mounting bracket.  This pales in comparison to the BJ set up on Ol' Maudie!  My compressor is tucked neatly in the frame, under my seat.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] JMO.  Later--HUBBARD

That's my thought to Hub; that it won't look very good when we get to see it in real life.  I'm afraid that what we can't really tell in the picture is that this is going to end up being a big ol' thing hanging on the side of the motor.

I was just out on Harleys web site and they added a new line up of Screamin Eagle clothes.Some stuff looks allright! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=pumpkin.gif]

I'm surprised Harley did not cover the compressor either. After market horns like Howard's Hog Horn do and they include mounting brackets too.
I hope that LED oil temp/level gauge is an improved model. I heard the earler version had problems.

After they sell the 1st 25,000 air horn's they will introduce the chrome compressor for an additional $124.95. ::)

However it must be Dealer installed or you'll void your warranty........ ;D
