picked up a 2001 SERG on Ebay, having it shipped, will have it 3/16/10. Today I got the old title in the mail, and it said  1450cc when it should say 1550cc. I'm pretty sure its a SERG. Would the vin # show it as a SERG?

Input the VIN on the Harley website's service section.  It'll tell you the make and model of that VIN.  Could be some screw up a title clerk made over the years.  Or someone reskinned a bike. 

Does the title give FLTRSEI2 for the model information?

There are some parts on there which are 00-01 specific. Does it look like it has or had a CD player in the TP ?   Doc

For some reason on the title for model, its blank. I feel better now.
It does have a 12 cd changer.

Would anyone know if I could change the 12 cd changer to one that plays cd's with mp3s? Thanks Alan

Good News !!  I don't think anyone would ever go that far as to fake a SERG and pu in the CD changer. The 00 will play a MP3 through the input jack on the radio, some members had some complications with the 01 but still worked it out. The newer gps's with MP3's will transmit through the radio w/o wires.  Doc

No worries.  Sounds like most likely explanation is also the real one.  Has probably changed hands more than once over the years.  Harley designators are tough for DMV staff and title clerks to keep straight.  Lots of model types and engine sizes get mistaken over the years.

An HD/HK bluetooth capable radio? 

...fm transmitter in the gps to the radio. Once you set the gps fm station to the same station on the radio it links up and will play through the bike sound system. The power wire is the antenna. I use it in my truck and bike. The unit also has bluetooth for hands free, ebook reader, video player, MP3, and games. I use a RAM motorcycle mount for the Garmin 1400 series and it fits fine. As Chip said not supposed to. 01 bikes got them. The 2000 bikes did not. When Harley produced the 01 models they realized the 01 color schemes were so less cool than the triple reds that they gave the new bikes the cd players to help make the new owners feel better about the purchase.

In addition to a more powerful 1550-cc version of the 1450-cc Twin Cam 88 V-twin, this example includes floating-rotor brakes, special wheels, chrome-encircled white-faced gauges, and unique Screaming Eagle trim. Came off an internet site discussing the 2001 SERG, look over this one with the wheel and other options you can see.  Do you have the white faced gages?

One other picture for you, notice the mirrors an two tone seat.  You may have a clone, if not someone sure switched out a lot of parts over time.  VIN will tell the true story.  You do have a recourse with e bay if the seller fraudulently claimed it as something it was not.  Just takes time, but you should be covered if you paid through ebay.
