Umm... I don't think so. When the bike is up there it is very stable...surprising really. Maybe I should offer tours.

Was just checking them out at mftrs and a couple of vendors websites.  Lots of info.  Turns out the holes are for J bolts to snug up to the bike's frame.  No doubt a "just in case" kind of thing.

Great...I WAS going to go to Homie Depot and just buy the run of the mill J-bolts for the lift....now you say they are for the BIKE....................where am I going to find chrome J-bolts???

All kidding aside; look for some of the rubber coated ones.  If not get some standard bolts and a bottle of that stuff you can dip tool handles in to give them a rubber coating.  No sense in making a metal to metal contact on a surface that might occasionally wiggle while the bolts are snugged down.

I bought a jack from J&S Jacks http://www.jsjacks.com/products.htm yesterday and tried it last night. Best jack I've ever used. Definitely a jack to consider when putting your 30K+ scooter up in the air. Paid $269 at the Denver MC show ;D

I just bought one from jsjacks great guys to deal with, got the discount delivered to the door 299.10. Works great !!!

I was looking for a table lift and found this one a a great price. It is not an air lift, so you don't have to worry about a compressor and it has cut-outs for tie down straps in the front.

The internet is full of horror stories about Harborfrieght lifts failing. Seem to remember it was the bolts shearing.

I have a Larkin jack from Sams club and the new all aluminum jack from sears for my bikes. Sears all aluminum is much better in my opinion.

Since my last post I bought the Direct Lift and the sears professional bike lift.   The sears professional goes right under both seegs with no issues and works great for me for cleaning the rear rim and such.   The table lift was 595 and they included the drop down for rear tire changing and for 99 bucks more i got the black jack scissor jack for putting under the tranny.

These guys were great to deal with no issues and saved me 100 bucks on the lift.
