A few points, the PC V with autotune must not have this issue because over a span of time (after making a change, like pipes) the bike makes small adjustments (not large ones).  I have made several changes and over two or three hundred mile rides the bike stabilizes.  The map that was installed 11,000 miles ago versus now is different but I never noticed any problems while the autotune was running or making adjustments.

Your point about the wiring make make sense if the PC V wasn't so well designed.  It would be no different than the HD connections (although more of them for sure).

You can also set the limits to how much and how often the PC V can change the map.

For sure a "good baseline" map is essential to either proudcut working well.

Actually  i do like my pcv with auto,  but the throttle response is a issue i feel it doesnt address effectively,  ive had pclllr's and the old pcll , and ive had the thundermax on my 07 ultra,  they all worked  fine, but the more you understand these tuners  and some which one do more than  others  the tts is more complete  and adjustable using the factory ecm.  it uses the same parameters as the  factory ecm  and u can adjust it where u want as the others go to,  but as for the tbw systems  it is a great feature to adjust the throttle response  and it does make a difference, with out changing boxes, also my tmax would act up every once in a while ,

My riding buddy mentioned above, says the same thing about the throttle response.  I've never noticed it as an issue but he sure noticed the difference after then 010 Ultra had the TTS installed.

I like running the bike steady state at 13.8 AFR which you can do with the TTS but in an open loop mode.  The NB sensors will only read above 14.3  Until I removed the cat, and installed the PC V with auto, the bike in South Texas where the lows in the summer are around 78 and the highs above 100 was unbearable.  Lot's of down time due to the excessive heat.  Now the bike runs noticeably cooler and better.

Being a old system engineer, I like the concept of WB sensors and a closed loop system.  With the SSERT, I continually had issues with the bike being tuned for South Texas and running like crap in the mountains of Colorado for two weeks.  High altitude, thinner air, less octane gas etc.  Since the AFR was set at 13,8 steady and the PC V with Auto adjusts for these variables, the bike runs great.

Went from 8800 feet on the Coronado Trail (38 degrees and wet) to the 90 degree desert and dry with absolutely no issues.

Just my thoughts.

never tried ssrt  but  the tts  has auto tune feature also,  my pcv i made two maps  one for max power and one for economy  used the  switch to use them and shut off the auto tuner,  i do miss the throttle response though  especially after many engine modifications

If you forgive the stupid question...but where in the TTS software do you get rid of the throttle lag--or is it just a tuning thing???

I don't think you ever got an answer, it's the "Throttle Blade Control" table in Master-Tune.

Here we go again...Skeptics that do not own PCV comment on the possibility of hard ware or soft ware failures. Look at a 1968 Chevy with two wires to the coil and one to the points and compare that to a new Z-06 corvette...The Vette will surely fail, It's to technical...Let's talk ourselves back to the stone age. Every time a PCV or Thundermax discussion is posted it's the same thing... We should go back to points for sure... to be safe and make the right choice. By the way I have 5000 trouble free miles and could not be happier with PCV with self tune using a blower and have perfect throttle response.  :coolblue:

Yep, and you have a TTS installed as well so the throttle response problems have been already fixed for you.
http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=46205.15 is where you told us all about it, and let's not repeat it all again!

All anyone needs to do is drive a factory DBW bike and slowly roll the throttle on and then repeat the test and hit the throttle quickly and you will find the problem. It not a table or an adjustment that you make as we already built it into our calibrations. Just the same as the rev limiter is different in different gears depending on how you hit the throttle with the factory calibrations, we fixed that issue as well and Mastertune is the only tuning tool on the market that does this.

If your an average rider who just cruises the bike it will not be a big deal for you but if your an aggressive rider who likes throttle response you will notice it right away!

I didn't think of that Steve, I stand corrected. I understand Thundermax has that issue fixed. I'm curious why PCV doesn't have that control feature. It must be a Delfi issue?

Thanks for the info.... but I have since found out that the TTS map from Fullsac that I am currently running already had the throttle issue fixed.

Does anyone have a good base map for the PCV w/ Auto tune?  Not trying to steal others work, well yeah I kind of am ::)  Anyways, it would really help me along if there's one out there that would work with my 2010 Street Glide.
