I marvel at what good folks hang out on this website.  Some I have met personally and some only electronically but it is a testament to the human spirit and God's love for us that we have such a caring bunch of people.  I know it must be a comfort to you both to know we are all there for you.

Lou and Terry (and Bubbalove of course) I only met you that one evening for dinner but I felt a connection immediately - a warmth in your personalities that made us all at ease.  I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you are back riding very soon.

Your friend,

Jerry

P.S. If you want to check out a new SE Road Glide Ultra I imagine Deserthog, Robmay, RedDevil and several more of us will be glad to consult with you.   :2vrolijk_21:

Hey Doc, did the Bushtec break loose at the hitch pin or did the tongue stay hooked to it.

I had to look at the pics again, but it looks like the tongue broke in two places...before and after the cooler.  :o

...the hitch stayed on the bike until I took it off. After they took Terry away in the ambulance I had a lot of nervous energy and started cleaning up the mess. Notice the bent shark fin and chunk out of the right bag. The bike and or the trailer must have really swung around.

Glad you are home safe and on the mend. Any charges against the guy who hit you? What happens to the bike? No rush on the answers, you have been very forthcoming in the past.

Doc, glad you guys made it home.  Looking at the part of the trailer tongue still secured has me thinking about going back to a Bushtec.  Had that been a standard hitch it may have popped up and who knows what damage it could have done.

Again, glad you and Terry are home and can heal in your own surroundings.

Jerry thanks for the comments.  I agree with you about connecting the one night we met.  It was great.  I do want to meet your wife someday.  So if you're ever in North Carolina or Ca. I frequent both...just not at the same time.  Ride safe.  Bubba Love.

Lou and Terry:  Glad you're home safe.  When you wind down and heal up, drop me a line.  Love to see you both before I head back to the "right" coast.  Fly home week from Sunday.  Bubba Love.

...as her SUV was being towed away from what my trailer did to it, all she could say from the trooper's car was "I don't understand why everyone was stopped", then the trooper said "Lady you still have to stop" and gave her a citation.
