Facia for SEUC?
« on: April 18, 2010, 01:42:37 AM »

Will a facia from a street glide fit on a SEUC. My buddy put on bag extensions and would like to match them with an extended rear fender.

It will on a 2010.  I don't know if it will on other years.

Here's my '05 SEEG with it on.

I had to wait a year to get though, due to it being a "restricted part" for the first year of the SG, but finally got it installed in '07.

Also with the changes in tire & fender widths over the past few years, when ordering you have to ensure you are ordering for the correct model year.

Here goes another bucket of $$$. O' well gotta do it. Looks great. Did you make the new lights running, turn, and brake lights? If so do think the license plate could be moved down to cover old taillight?

Anyone have the PN#'s for a 2006 SEUC??

These are what I used in '06 and are from the 2006 HD Parts book:

1.  SG fascia ("Effects" in parts book)--59379-06***(*** represents paint code, check with dealer for primered version since you'll be painting the part and primered is about $30 less than painted part);
2.  Stud plate--59818-06 (need two; used to attach fascia to fender);
3.  Flange nuts--7499  (need six; secures fascia to flange plate);
4.  SG LED light assembly--69375-06; (this is a run light only; HD offers a run/brake light version--p/n 68358-07A);
5.  Screws--3596 (need two);
6.  Fascia support 59790-06;
7.  Plug 59749-06 (need one if using antenna; need two if no antenna or mounting hardware for two-up detachable tour pak rack); and,
8.  Grommet 59788-06 (need one if using antenna; need two if using mounting hardware for two-up detachable tour pak rack).

A couple of installation points.  First, mounting the fascia per HD's Street Glide requires drilling three holes on each side of the rear fender for the stud plates.  It's not difficult, but many have avoided drilling by using 3M VHB (very high bond) double-sided tape and not purchased the stud plates and nuts.  I used the stud plates and nuts.  Also, on a SG, the tour pak wiring harness used for tour pak lights on an Ultra King tour pak is used for the fascia LED.  If you are using that connector, you can simply change the connector on the end of the LED to the one used on an Ultra Classic or Classic fender tip light that plugs into the circuit board behind the tail light lens.  It will be the upper left chamber of the circuit board.  On an SG, that chamber is used for the license plate LED's, but should be available on your CVO Ultra.  If you don't have tour pak lights, you can wire the fascia LED the same as a stock SG.

Grizzly, I cheated and used the VIN number from an SG on the floor of my local dealer to order the parts in April 2006 and got the parts from an HD dealer with heavy internet sales.

Wow, thanks Harleypingman,

One quick question...

In the first sentence, you mention about pain codes. If I can figure out the code for the Autumn Haze, are you saying it can be had color matched? Or, are the option just whatever the SG was that year?

Thanks ALOT!  This is definitely on the ever increasingly long list!

The fascia can be ordered as a painted part in one of the SG colors offered or as a primered part.  HD doesn't offer a paint service to sell you a fascia in Autumn Haze, so you'll need to have the part painted to match.

When I go to do a search on the Harley site for the part it will not show it.  Why is this?  I would really like to get the facia for my 08 SEUC but I really want to have my chit together when I go to the dealer to order.

Go to a dealer website like Zanotti's, Chicago HD, et al. and use the part nos. HD's website is for items in the P&A catalog.  The parts listed aren't in the P&A catalog.

Zanotti's is very good about responding to questions you may have via their email link on their website.

Thanks!!  I actually started out with the Chicago HD site first because they give a hell of a discount, but it didn't show the facia.  I then went to the actualy Harley site and they didn't show it either, but that was no big suprise as I always seem to have trouble navigating that site sometimes.  I'll try the other one now.
