I have ridden them all as a dealership employee. The 2009-2010 CVO Ultra is without equal. I would never go back unless economics forced me to. Even them it would be a struggle.

If CVO doesn't come out with better paint schemes, I absolutely would go non-CVO.

I get allot of complements on my 2010 Riptide Blue/Titanium Dust. What an awesome looking bike!! After having Kasper that didn't show dirt the Ripetide Blue keeps me busy on detailing. But it sure looks sweet when it's sparkling!!

I TOTALLY agree - flames don't belong on a bagger, IMO.

Hmm.  I won't buy another new Harley, CVO or otherwise, until they get their head out of the dark place.  It's not much of a sacrifice as I'm perfectly happy with my bike and expect that it will last at least another 4 or 5 years.  When the payments are done and the warrenty's expired I will look at my options.  But I will only ride American made so I may ride an antique one day.

Ride Safe,

Purple flames would suck...unless they look black in the shade or at night...no flames still look like the 70's   just sayin

Guess I'll give my $0.02 since I started this thread...............

If money was an issue, I would go back to a non-CVO bike. I'm very happy with my '09 SEUC...but the heat issue with the 110 engine has me a bit pissed. Dropping $30K+ on a motorcycle...then having to spend additional $$$ to make it tolerable to ride in warm weather was not what I desired...or expected. It's water under the bridge now...but before I purchase another CVO I hope Harley addresses this issue. Otherwise, I will look at alternatives.

It's all about each person's personal preferences and what they want out of special bike. Some guys and gals spend a fortune to transform there CVO into a monster and some people make sudle changes that keep the bike stock. Once you've owned a CVO which I have there is nothing out there that compares with the true enjoyment that it produces. The heat does go away when you open that motor up and allow it to suck and breath better plus ride the hell out of it.Just my personal experience.(DB) :2vrolijk_21:

For me it would have to be the right bike. I don't mind the added expense but for that I would want something that was the right color for me and all the added goodies that I would expect on a cvo. The '09 yellow SE Springer was a perfect fit for what I wanted. So when it comes time to replace my bagger if they have a cvo bagger out at the time that I take a fancy to then I'll likely go that way and if not then I'll just go back with a non cvo and start off from scratch like I did with the Ultra I have now.
