Hi, I registered at the forum a long time ago, I am Italian and I live in Rome, I registered because I ordered a CVO Softail Convertible on 3rd October 2009 and I received the bike only now, more than 6 months after, that is the necessary time to have any CVO in Italy. The dealer told me there may be some problems with this kind of bikes because of the European law concerning pollution and noise. In any case the bike is here now and I’ll ride it tomorrow (Monday). Actually there are some little differences between the American model and the European one, the most visible are the exhaust and the mirrors. The exhaust is also a big problem because of the sound, it doesn’t seem a Harley but something like a BMW, I have to change it immediately, my dealer suggested me to buy the original mufflers in US because in Italy and in Europe they aren’t street legal and nobody imports them. He told me the number of the item 80679-08, do you know if that number is the right one, is there any better solution? Here a picture of the new bike still at the workshop of the dealer last Friday evening while they were recharging the battery, they already installed the engine bar as I asked. There is also another problem with the license’s plate because the European licenses are very much bigger than US ones, can I ask if other European guys have solved that problem already? In my case the rear nuts of the license screws touch the surface of the fender and they’ll scratch it for sure after few rides. Thank you in advance for any assistance and congrats for the beautiful and useful forum.
PS sorry for my bad English
