Rog, y'know sometimes Freud had it right, cigars and cigars and sometimes it really is just semantics.  But not always.....  So I'm thinking anyone making the trip can call it whatever the hell they please.  Personally I'm looking forward to The Convention.  But those friends who don't have the time or can't get back and forth across the border are gonna miss a heluva fine ride and a good party to boot.

I hear ya.

The pre run this August showed us some great country and while Colorado was grand and the vistas many, the Canadian vistas and views are incredible in their own right.

Rog, more than anything except the people we'll see themselves that's what I'm looking forward to most.  I've been fortunate enough to have enjoyed that country up there a little.  And the only way I've ever figured out how to describe it was to think of our Rocky Mountain or Teton Ranges are their grandest and largest.  And great they are.  And bigger and grander you don't think they can be.  Until they are up north.

Starting in the middle I'll get to ride both ways.  Shipping and flying (even if I were so inclined) would barely save enough time to really make it a worthwhile proposition from here.

well to do the rally plus the post rally rally and ride home is already pushing 2 weeks if we ride ther now its going on 3 weeks.

Coast to coast is worth doing just to say you've done it.  And it's fun too.  Even shipping the bikes west you'll have a dandy trip home.  Well worth the effort.
