SSERT/TTS Windows7 Compatability?
« on: May 09, 2010, 10:27:13 AM »

I tried searching but struck out.

My wife's bike uses the SSERT (in retrospect a poor choice) and my bike uses TTS. I want to do some data logging & tinkering, but my computer is now upgraded to Win7. The SSERT won't even load. Does the new software (32111-10) work in Win7?

If I buy a new TTS, either single or dual bike, will the software run in Win7?

Thanks in advance.

That's one of the problems I'm hearing a lot with the new OS and running in 64bits a lot of software isn't able to run on it. Hopefully as more upgrade to Win 7 software makers will make their software compatible.

BTW - I changed the topic to better reflect on your question.

Since I was getting a new laptop with Windows 7, I contacted Steve at TTS Mastertune and he informed me that Version 1.4 which has been out for about a couple of months now is fully compatible with Windows 7 so you should be good to go! :2vrolijk_21:

There's hidden knowledge/content in F-Dood's post if the OP has a 64 bit computer...

Win7, Win XP, Server 2008, 2003, 2000 software @ 32 bit all run the programs fine... My shop computer is XP 32 bit, my road laptop is XP 32 bit my office computer is Win7 and others are Win Server platforms. T-Max, PC, T-Scan, TTS and SEST will run on them although Nolan takes a nap when I least expect it to (SEST)... going to call it Siesta from now on.

I also have a business laptop that is 64 bit. The TTS software runs fine on it but my new -10 version of the Siesta (SEST) software won't. Have tried to run it in XP Mode....  nada.  Haven't tried any others.

Old Windows laptop died. Very little use for windows anymore with the exception of Mastertune and a coupla of other "windows only" programs. Purchased new Windows 7 64 bit laptop and TTS runs fine.  :2vrolijk_21:

Sure would like to see a Mac compatible version but I ain't holdin my breath.  :coolblue:

I have Windows 7 (64-bit) on my laptop and my SESPT software works fine.  Links up with the interface and ECM and uploads/downloads data with no "Nolans".  Running the 2010 version with the autotune feature.

I have vista 32-bit and it won't run TTS software worth a crap.  It actually won't run anything worth a crap, so I don't think it's the TTS software.  So, I just had it dynoed and its all good now.

I installed the TTS software on my new Dell laptop with Windows 7 this weekend with no problems.

The only issue I had was utilizing the USB interface instead of a standard computer serial port. You need to get 'USB to Serial Converter' AND 'Com Port' drivers. Otherwise you will not see a Com Port appear when you try to connect to the tuner. Fortunately Windows 7 does a nice job finding those needed drivers on the Web.

All needed drivers are included on the Mastertune CD if you need them. They are located under prerequisites and drivers on the menu.

I was hoping to find a way to use my WinMo HTC phone...
Now that'd be cool - unless someone calls you in the middle of something you're doing.
