I'm constantly amazed at how we all seem to think that hearing what someone else likes on their bike will somehow make our decisions easier. Especially with something like a windshield, there are just too many variables to be able to read a few posts and then say "OK, I'll go with this one". Things like torso length (height isn't definitive, some folks are longer from the waist to their heads than others of the same overall height), body lean, preference for looking over versus through, etc.
My suggestion is to work with companies that offer to let you try the shield and return it for full credit if the fit doesn't suit you. There are at least a few I'm aware of that make that offer, as long as you install and test the shield without removing the clear plastic protective covering.
One thing that you may find when trying to eliminate buffeting is that it's not necessarily air coming over the top that's shaking your head all around. Hold your left hand up around your head and move it up/down and side to side, then down lower at chest level. You may be surprised to find that you're getting more air wrapping around the sides of your shield and fairing, or up between the tank and inner fairing, or even air bouncing your head around from the rear, than you are from the top of the shield. And never forget, if your better half rides on the back with you, some of the whizbang shields that claim to throw the air up and over you can cause all that air to converge directly behind you. If you're comfy but Momma's head is bouncing like a pinball, your ride is probably going to be a short one.
As always, JMHO.
