SERT Smart Tune
« on: May 15, 2010, 09:06:11 PM »

Finally learned how to use the Smart Tune feature on my SERT..... :orange: I am using it to clean up my VE tables. Looking to get better gas mileage as i am only getting about 34 miles to the gallon right now.

Anyhow i recorded, downloaded, blended. Then I reflashed my new map. Now waiting for a good day to do all of my VE Smart Tunes. What would be the best temperature and humidity to do this in?

I just finished mine as well, after doing my Smartune runs and blending the maps there was less than 5% difference so the original map was very close. I did change the CLB tables as they were still very lean and then I made some changes to the AFR table for cooling. I just finished tonight so I will check the milage tomorrow and let you know how it came out. Also here is a copy of my AFR map just for FYI, the bike is running really strong in-fact I cant believe how much the SEPST woke up the engine.

Welcome to the site. It's a great place to be.

I have done cam work and changed to catless headpipe. I use the SEPST and the Smart Tune to tune the V.E.'s. Gives me better gas mileage.

Thanks for your welcome. By your first sentence i think that you have be able to use Smart Tune mode with a SERT black box (and not a SEPST, orange box)...

You have buy a SEPST or you have a solution to user Smart Tune feature with SERT (black box)?

Bye and thanks again

The V.E. tables are in the SEPRT program. They control the amount of air flow. If you have had a dyno tune you should be good if tuned properly. If youy have a canned map downloaded to your vci you will want to learn how to Smart Tune. The directions are in the SEPRT program. Read it and understand what you are doing before attempting.
