Making a mental design note.The tire should be farther away from the firebox. Ever seen a tire on fire? At a lodge with a wedding party on one side and bikers on the other? It was VERY close to being a VERY ugly scene. I envision the next day headlines....."Drunken Redneck Rowdy bikers burn lodge to the ground".

But, we're professionals. A little bit of McGyver type modifications, (Aluminum foil) and we were good to go.

Hawg Rib telling about the secret sauce. Like Ben and Jerry's ice cream we don't trust each other. I know half of the ingredients. Hawg Rib has the other half. If either of us dies, it's all over. Enjoy it while you can.

Coming along nicely. 29 slabs of ribs, 10 pounds of charcoal, a few sticks of pecan and hickory slabs, 27 cases of beer ad about 6 hours is all it takes.

Mrs HawgRib cutting up a chicken. We tried a few chickens this year. They really turned out well. We may have a chickenfest this fall.
