I'm just glad I wiped off the mist of oil still coming from the bleeder screw before I took that photo or you'd have been b!tich!ing about that, too!

BTW, just how hard can you crank down on those sons-a-beeches? :o :nixweiss:

Best rule of thumb there is if it breaks off you twisted too hard!

Actually....  with chromed bleeders have occasionally had this problem.  Chrome is hard.  If it won't seal up under what seems like normal pressure type the butt end of the bleeder screw to a wire wheel on your bench grinder.  Not hard enough to deform of course.  Just enough to smooth out as necessary.

Yeah, the original transmission seeped there, too, until I snugged it down, but this one seems like it's taking more effort to seal up.  It had been leaking enough to run down and leave a drip after every ride.  Now it only misted the side of the case a bit after 300 miles, so it's a bunch better.  I'll leave the breaker bar in the tool chest, but might try to nudge it just a li'l more. :nervous:

When they were the best to begin with and have since had this long to be perfected by their loving and insightful riders there's just not a lot left to say.  Pity all the poor schmucks who came later and have to work so hard to make things as good ::) .

I have recently added Progressive 940 touring shocks and will be installing the
monotube cartridges as soon as I can find someone to put them in for me.

Twolane, you up for this adventure?

BTW, my wife said after we rode to Bikes, Boobs and Hot Rods in Rogers AR
last Saturday that the shocks were the single best thing I had changed on the
bike. She said it was money well spent. I have to agree. Much much smoother
ride!!!!

The have not seen anything yet that I would trade my SEEG for. Not even close!

Long live the SEEG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
