I may have a 6 gallon tank, but I only have a 200 mile rear end.  After 200 miles I don't care how much gas is in the tank, i'm gonna stop and get fuel and rest my a$$.....

My gauge has always read low and never completely goes to full.  My fuel remaining readout is better.  On a completely full tank I've shown 257-259 miles remaining.  The low fuel light consistently comes on at 40 miles remaining and if I run it down do about 10 miles remaining "low fuel" is displayed. The most I've ever got in the tank is about 5.45 gallons.  Fuel remaining is pretty accurate probably a little conservative, but the gauge is off.
