In that apparent never ending quest for the perfect combination of everything, I decided my Rinehart mufflers were just a bit too loud for my touring needs. Let me state up front that I like the Rinehart sound. I personally think it's the best muffler out there for most applications. But for long distance touring it just didn't hit the bulls eye for me.

From the moment you unwrap these mufflers you see and feel the quality. The sound is much quieter than Rinehart. As compared to stock, it improves the quality of the sound by a large margin and is a little louder.
It is a quiet muffler but in my opinion is the perfect companion for the sophisticated look of the CVO Ultra. While I can still hear the low rumble of the pipes, I can just a easily talk with the wife, hear the jams and cruise down the interstate more comfortably.
No doubt it will change my performance just a small bit but at least it will be to the rich side and not lean.
There is no annoying bass drone from the mufflers and cruisability is just excellent.
Keep in mind however that I have the Rinehart Xtreme true duals. If these mufflers were installed on a stock cat system you could of course expect a further reduction in sound.
It is an excellent muffler. Top quality. Excellent touring sound. No annoying bass drone at all and no loud crack on accelaration. A sophisticated muffler that lets the V-Twin talk just loud enough so you know you're on a Harley.
I like this muffler for the Ultra.
Mounted slash down. I'll throw some pics in a few days.
