Way over yonder is Humphrey’s Peak 12,633 ft highest point in AZ

The closer I got to the place the cooler it became

Smokey the Bear was putting out a fire in Flagstaff

Now I was unable to make it to the Sedona Gathering but being so close I had to take the trip over there.  Besides remember my comment “Lesson – Always listen to the Duke!”  Well the Duke (San Jose Duke) told me how close I was to it at the H-D Dealership and that was it.

Grasshopper Point…Suddenly I feel like watching the ole TV series Kung Fu…Remember Grasshopper?

Were’s the welcoming committee?  No ticker tape parade either!

By now I knew I had missed a pretty cold gathering and a great place to ride

Alright that’s it!  I gave this town another opportunity to open its arms of friendship!  What do I get?  Hole in Donut!  Nothing!  Nice views though.

In the town…All of these rocks made me want to roll right out of town…So off I went to find a place to get some rest.

It funny but I can not even remember when I spent the night so I am having to look up my receipts to locate the city.  I remember the hotel, Super 8 and went to Target for supplies but….mmm!

Time to head on down the road and travel through Tucson…Last time I was here was on the same trip as the Grand Canyon as a young lad.  Visited Old Tucson but that would not be in the plans this journey.

Suddenly I landed upon a place that I fully expected to see Fred & Barney…you know those guys!  After all I am in their home town of Bedrock!
