Big surprise! NOT! An existing bike with a blacked out theme, how original! Besides, this bike was on the table for relese last year. It was listed on the initial CARB filing. It got scratched for the final model release, though. I like these bikes, but for $11K? I'd buy a Triumph Speed Triple. More bike for less money.

I'm pretty sure I've seen similar stuff from H-D in the not so distant past. Oh yeah, that's right, I owned one. That one was called a Superglide Sport, and it had lots of wrinkle black paint everywhere. And then I seem to remember another bike with a similar look called the Night Train. Hmmmmmmm. Those have both been discontinued, the Dyna many years ago and the Night Train just recently. Seems the sales figures didn't justify keeping them around.
Calling stuff like this "NEW" is what I just love about the clueless folks in Milwaukee. Based on their practices, if I were to paint my sorry old butt flat black or have it chromed I could call myself "NEW". I don't think the wife would fall for it, however. Under the new finish I would still be the same sorry old fart, and she'd be quick to remind me of that fact.
If they really want to appeal to younger riders, they need to come up with real performance, not flat black paint. I don't think the Yamaha/Kawasaki/Honda/Suzuki 600 dealers are going to be shaking in their boots after viewing Harley's new import fighter. Let me see, more money for half as much bike. Yup, sounds like another winning idea from H-D.
I'm holding out for the Servicar, just like Twolane. Until then, they are just wasting their time trotting out this kind of BS and calling it "NEW".
