Finally recieved my newly painted lowers back
« on: May 31, 2010, 07:34:36 PM »

They say "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and I certainly like my new look of my Duracell, but wondered what all the rest of you CVO experts think?

I have always felt that this new look is the way this bike should have come from the factory in the first place, but glad I have finally got the bike looking the way I want it... AND it has absolutely no red, anywhere!

With all do respect to those with red bikes, I'm not a "red" kind of guy, and just felt that the red parts (as an accent) clashed with the copper on this bike.

Thanks for any and all opinions.  :2vrolijk_21:

Here is the before (stock) lowers...

Like them both but would give the stock the edge? IMO

Maybe use all the colors.  A separating sweep matching the line coming down the front fender.  Black below and copper above.  Not a horizontal separation like the 04 SEEGs had but a vertical that is separated by a line that follows the fenders stripe :nixweiss: ?

I think the black looks good also.  But I'd want to add a bit of the other colors to tie it together.  ;) spyder

Black is OK, Stock is better, I would add the same colors on the tank to the lowers and the tourpack.  Just one guys opinion.

A few unrelated questions. What kind of exhaust pipes and headers are on your bike? how loud are they? What kind of tuner are you using, and did you lose any low end torque with the true duals?

I have V&H True Duals with the stock SE pipes.
They are louder with the duals on, but not too loud... I like to hear the radio while riding and don't like earplugs.
I lost as bit of low end torque, but marginally.
I have yet to get a tuner, although everyone tells me it's a must.

Hope this helps.

Great Looking Bike,  but I have to say the COPPER Color is the best.
