Put the CD in another PC and check if you can see the files?  Sometimes if you don't finalize the burn, they will only show on the PC you burned it with? Beyond that, if you burned the CD correctly, you just have to double-check the steps. I nailed it the first time, and that almost never happens for me!

When I try this the radio displays "validating VSP image". I've left it for 30-40 mins, but nothing else happens. Any ideaers?

Update: burnt the cd in another format - worked this time!

Software is up to date, wondering if anyone has ideas or can help with another issue?

Had a new radio put in under warranty (one came with bike had several buttons did not work).  A week after the new radio installed I put J&M 7.25" speakers and amp in.  Day after amp & speaker upgrade as I was riding along, look down to check time and see a blank screen (or nearly blank - if you look at it just right angle in right light you can still see it)

Everything works fine as I know what buttons are set for what - just no display...............

Anyone know of possible problem or hopefully easy solution to this?

Going to dealer on Friday to have it "checked out" but have feeling they are going to have to warranty another radio for me.

depress the left grip volume control and see if you can see Display. I think it's the forth option. Use that the adjust the contrast.

Upgraded my '07 to the v8.22 and it sure seems that now my XM is even more sensitive to the strength of its signal - meaning I seem to lose signal even more whenever I am on any road with trees nearby.  Always a problem but sure seems worse now.  Is this just my imagination or did the new update cause this?

8.22 modified the VOX sensitivity and would have no affect on XM reception

It is not the Contrast setting.  I have tried that with no effect, something happened within the radio that caused the display to go almost blank.  I took it in to the dealer and they attempted to determine what happened with no luck.  Radio number three is on order.  Hoping third time is the charm.  Would really like to have the rear aux port added and the display backlight changed to blue but want to make sure I have a proper working radio first.
