New x-pipe issues!!!
« on: June 17, 2010, 07:29:30 PM »

Got my new x-pipe today, and did the install.
I found the pipes easy to install if you take the carriage bolt completely out of the transmission support bracket, otherwise, fit was perfect. New exhaust port gaskets are included in the kit.

The issues are:
1) you can't see it, so no one knows it's there.
2) seems as quiet as stock (at least in the shop)
3) can't go riding until tomorrow morning!

I'll see if these pictures work.......................

Last one, we'll ride tomorrow!
Loaded a new map, may have to do a V-tune when I have time, depending how this setup works..

Thanks, Steve for the quick service!

Thanks for posting the pic, please post your impression on the setup, I am looking into removing the stock and cat 2 into 1 and not sure which way to go, Fullsac or V&H ?   I am also looking at the V&H Tru Duals.

I've got the same setup and love it.  It's stealth, and with CVO pipes with Fullsac cores, it'll pass the EPA sniff test if I ever get stopped at a road check.  Power difference without the cat is noticeable.

Personal preference on the exhaust systems, just like oil, spark plugs, tires, color, etc, etc.

I LIKE this setup:
Fullsac cores in CVO mufflers (stealth) and fairly quiet
x-pipe (stealth)
TTS tune (stealth, no "add-ons")

I actually like the look of the stock exhaust system (no bashing, please!) And the local law doesn't give it a second look.
I've gained about 15/15 HP and TQ over stock on the dyno. Cams will increase that a bit (soon to come).
I've found out pulling the mountains 2-up, with a 40 MPH head wind, I have to down shift!!! Imagine that! (Don't have to do that on the big motor bike!!!)
My impression?
I'm liking it more each day. Now if I could just quit playing with the tune!
