Fullsac/ Gas Mileage-FLHTCUSE5 Crimson Black
« on: June 18, 2010, 08:47:55 AM »

I recently had a Fullsac Stage 1 system installed complete with X-pipe, 1.75 pwr. cores, Big Sucker A/C & TTS Tuner.  My mileage going 60ish is 33 MPG.
Granted my bike only has 250 miles on it but shouldn't I be getting better?  Dyno#'s were 89 HP & 99 torque after install with Air/Fuel= 14.   I am taking my bike in a couple weeks to a GOOD TTS Tuner and maybe that will help.  Suggestions appreciated.

Lets see, Iowa is pretty flat, right?
60 MPH is a light load, assuming normal riding.
You should be getting way more than that, even though you don't have many miles yet.
I think you are correct about a tune, don't know what map you're using now, but, any of them with your setup should get better mileage. Your HP and Tq should be more like 96/113 or there abouts.
This would be your first tank of gas, correct?? Run a couple more tanks through and see what you get before you get to a tuner, it's better to have about 1000 miles to loosen the engine up a bit before you flog it on a dyno IMO.
Good luck.

Roadking - When I first got my bike the mileage was around mid 30's but that was new and with the stock exhaust.

We pretty much the same set up now.  I installed the 2.25 cores and have the Harley ventilator AC.  I used the map sent by Steve - currently getting around 40 mpg.  I have a little over 3000 miles on the bike.  Have not been on Dyno or made any changes to the map.

Curious to hear how the tune goes.

Thanks for the pictures you sent - I appreciate it

Same set up for me from Fullsac.

With the Fullsac map provided the first couple of tanks were in the 30's. Let the ECM do it's adaptive learning and the mileage is now 44 MPG. Runs like a raped ape.

I get any where between 43 mpg and a high of 50 mpg depending on how I am riding and how much is interstate and the road speed.

Fullsac 2.5 baffles, and his Map for the TTS.

Even motors with the exact same build respond differently to a map produced on a dyno for that same kinda build on a different bike. Did you run VTune to correct your map's VEs?

I have a Fullsac stage 1 w/Ness Big Sucker also, and almost an identical bike,FLHTCUSE5.

I have been getting around 33 MPG riding solo. This past weekend I went for a little 375 mile ride with a group of puddlers, mileage went up to 51mpg. it's all about the throttle, at least with my scoot.

My dealer just told me they didn't know which TTS map to choose of the 50 choices in maps  to choose from on the TTS software so they just installed one and tried to tweak it.
Which map is the custom Fullsac map for the 1.75 cores, Big Sucker A/C and Fullsac B X-pipe???
