I just found this board and it looks like a good place to call home. I have been riding for many years and currently ride about 25k a year on my Goldwing and Conours 14
I just found this beauty and could not get it out of my mind, so it has followed me home. I have a ton to learn about it and am thinking I need a service manual asap, also need a owners manual but the dealer has told me they have one on order. time will tell? the saleman said he ordered one, and the finance guy said that did not happen and so he would order one, said it would be in on Friday, checked with the parts guy and he said that neither person completed the order and so he ordered one on Saturday. so I might get one or may get 3 who knows?
had a little boo boo on the day I was to pick it up. they took it around back to fill with gas and detail it. when it came out there where scratches. both mufflers, heat shields, both turn signals, all pegs. about 1300.00 worth of boo boo's
turns out that no one knows who what when how why?
they say they will order the parts and fix it to the condition it was in when I made the deal.
well we have hit a snag
parts guy says the heat shields are no longer made and we may have to go with a complete new pipe setup. and if so they are sorta talking like I need to come up with some $$$ for the difference in cost of heat shields to a complete pipe system, and also if we change pipes there is the issue of now it needs re-tuned and that I would need $$$ for that as well.
This is not going to be the best fix in my opinion but I need to wait and see what they come up with for the final fix.
anyway am excited to have the new ride in the garage and now it is time to ride and read lots here.
