1sharprdkg, I would go along with the other guys who went with the ceramic coating. I couldn't tell you the difference with or without the coating in regards to the heat difference,(because I had the ceramic coating done before I had ever put the catless headpipe on ) but I can say that the amount of heat coming from my bike is greatly reduced. To use a worn out phrase the difference is like "night and day ".Also since I live in SOCAL where I ride in 95 to 100 degree weather on a regular basis the difference is greatly appreciated. The function where the rear cylinder shuts off at idle to cool the engine when the temp is hot outside has not happened once since I changed out to the noncat ceramic pipe with 1.75 Fulsacs, mastertune, and S.E. high flow air filter, before I made the changes it used to shut off on a regular basis at a red light or waiting on a train etc. The company that coated mine charged me $185.00. They are about 30 miles from my house, but I think the shipping costs would be prohibitive since you are pretty far away. Also I had asked Steve at Fulsac about wrapping the pipes an I believe he told me that I might have an issue getting the heat shields back on. GoodLuck. CAHDBIKER
