GC_Super I like you idea about the media but it may work better coming from many areas around the country at once. I think most local stations have consmer reporters who deal with customers who are having problems resolved. Imagine if the MOCO higher ups started getting calls from across the country from reporters asking "What are you going to do to help this customer, etc.?" The higher management doesn't like negative publicity from many markets. If it was just at York it may not get picked up nationally and make a large story. How about events such as Daytona and Sturgis too at the usual autograph signings by Willie G and other big wigs?

No wonder all these Arlen Nesses, Jesse James< Ron Simms, and a lot of other custom builders are getting rich. Id never buy from HD if again. Im sure for about 40k, I could get a better bagger built.

Mike...If you get to the "build it yourself" frustration level, PM me and I'll share a couple of sets of plans (FLHX & FLRG) that put you in a real "custom" bagger with lots of HP for around the  45k mark.  Numbers depend, of course, on your situation as far as completing a portion of the work yourself.

Mike if it weren't for bad luck you wouldn't have any at all.  Sorry about the lights that Hddude put on.  Your bike isn't even broke in yet so I expect the power to improve.

Glad you got her back Mike, but damn sorry to hear about the new muck-ups! Jim says that it's common for dealerships to cut off the wiring for LED's in their haste, rather than see the handly connectors that are there for removing the various parts without damaging the LED installs. No excuse for that.

Thanks for the offer on the MOFOCO dangle-bling LED's, but I'll stick with the ones from Jim's craftmanship shop.

Cigarmike,
Glad you got your bike back. Hopefully your call on Monday will get you some more satisfaction. It's a shame the wrench "forked" up you lights while working on your bike that sucks.

Anyway the weather is great out there in So Cal, so get out and enjoy your ride some.

Theres no excuse for the LEDS, I told them about the LEDS, they said "No worries", plus, they install their own brand of LEDS at this dealership, including the little dis-connectors. That being said, they could of at least re-installed mine after ripping them off. I should of know there was a problem, as soon as i got the bike back, I noticed the air cleaner was on up side down. I was just so happy to get it out of there, I will be going to McQuires in San Ramon for anything I need from now on. Have heard nothing but great things about them, and their warranty service. I hope Jim hurries up and gets Warranty Work certified by MoCo.

Tellin ya, What makes this all the worse, is having to listen to the wife saying all the time now "I told you not to buy that bike", lmao. Im almost ready to agree with her for once, and trust me, she has NEVER been right before about anything.............(I have short memory obviously) 8-)

The suns supposed to be out today, Ill take her to San Ramon and introduce myself to service manager, gotta get these leaks fixed, and I want the engine checked again, I dont trust any mechanic that puts an air cleaner cover on upside down. Nor leaves Lites dangling near the throttle and cable, would of been not good if the LED's locked my throttle open.

Newest update, Took it in to McQuires HD in San Ramon. Service  writer came out to greet me when I pulled up, he was friendly, professional, no drama, the first words out of his mouth were NOT "voided warranty" as I told him of upgrades done to the bike and at what mileage they were installed.

They had the bike for 2 days, found that my oil pump needed replacement that should of been done the first time it was tore down, and also, Drons mechanic decided to use the old gaskets and silicon instead of new gaskets. Which btw, New gaskets were listed on the invoice that goes to MoCo warranty dept for payment. So they not only are ripping off the customers at Drons, they are also ripping off MoCo. Writer also said "There were bolts and screws that were only finger tight"....so between the silicon subsitution for the new gaskets and the expert tightening of the parts, Im lucky I had only 4 leaks I guess. Also, McQuires took the time to put the LED's back where they belong just like they were when I took it in, and My bike was spot-less, they cleaned her up real nice.

The difference between my experience here and where I purchased the bike was like nite and day, An added Bonus is that to get to this dealership, I have the option of taking the canyon route if I want. No Brainer.

I hope that my mechanical problems are behind me (HD-dude wont put on my new chrome untill they are.  :D) and I can get the paint issue addressed now.
