Jerry/MD, I keep the following in my 09SEUC besides the original tool kit. The Stop and Go Brand Tire Plugger Kit and a 12V air pump that plugs into where my battery tender would normally go. This is not for long term riding, just a temporary fix until I can get to a dealer and get a proper fix. Also I keep some extra fuses, including a main fuse, and an extra Headlight Bulb and tail light bulb. It is good to keep extra spark plugs because on a rare occasion the porcelain can crack and you could be stranded. Also a pair of mechanics gloves, one quart of oil, jumper cables, and some clear tubing in case you have to siphon gas. Some electical tape, some bungee cords(or bailing wire in case the spring on your kickstand breaks), a good tire pressure gauge and 10 ft of nylon rope. This may seem excessive and of course some of these items you will hopefully never need, but when you need them they will be greatly appreciated. Regarding tire pressure I check it regularly with a HD tire pressure gauge and my tires will go close to 3 weeks without even losing a pound of air. There are a couple of places I ride thru Nevada where there is close to 180 miles with virtually nothing in between. For example Ely to Tonopah on highway 6 and also from Ely to Fallon on Highway 50 where the services are very limited.Having these items makes me feel like I have some sort of way to keep going if I pick up a nail or some other minor thing breaks. I have these items in separate pouches in my saddle bags and I still have plenty of room left over for extra gloves, cable lock etc. My tourpak is completely free for luggage including the top rack.
