Yeah, 'er 'uh, Jorge,
Sorry to hear that. I am so thankful the Good Lord saw fit not let me hurt anyone when I drove, drunk and doped up. I was stupid, back then. It's nothing short of a Miracle, in my mind. I had a State Trooper friend of mine tell me 10% of all the vehicles on the Road in WV, are being opereated by impaired Drivers. Personally, I believe the percentage is higher than that.
Later--HUBBARD
A good friend of mine was caught and given a DUI. He lost his license and had to do the rehab/school thing.
He told me that while in the shooling that the instructor told the class that for the majority of people that get caught, they have driven impaired about 300 times. Man, 300 times before the average person ever gets caught.
My son had just left a bar his room mate was tending bar at after studying for a big exam and on the 1 mile drive back to the house after three beers, he was stopped and blew over the limit. He spent the night in jail and arranged his own bond. We did not find out about this until about 6 months later when my ex wife's insurance company called her and said that they would not be able to renew him on her policy and she asked why. Boy did the chit hit the fan then....
The great thing about that is that he learned his lesson without any injury and even though he blew over, he was probably in full control at the intown speeds he was driving.
Jorge, it must be very hard to get by with your loss, but I'm sure you're doing what you can to continue living for the rest of your family. My heart felt condolenses to you amigo.
