The Japs have a 2053cc engine with ONLY water-cooled heads (cylinder is air-cooled) AND it runs a lot cooler than my CUSE3. So MoCo could do the same AND step up the displacement. I hit 260 degrees oil temp yesterday while putting thru Pigeon Forge behind the tourists with an air temp of 97 - thought my pants were on fire.

I hear that the Motor Company has an agreement with Porsche, that they cannot use the V - Rod Water Cooled Engine in any other model until 2012...so maybe next year!!!

The existing V-Rod motor as is would be a disaster. They would have to punch it out at least to 1800 cc, preferrably to 2000 cc, to have a chance to get enough low end torque for the heavier Touring platform.
