is Alpha same as Bias Ply?
Alphanumeric is just a different system for naming tire sizes. There are basically 3 systems, the old inch system, alphanumeric, and metric (180/55R18 78H for instance). You still need to look at the entire tire designation to determine bias versus radial. For instance, a tire designation might be
MU85B16 77H . The M is for motorcycle, width is U, the aspect ratio is 85%, the B signifies belted bias construction, the 16 is the rim diameter in inches, the 77 is the load rating, and the H is the speed rating. A radial would have an R after the aspect ratio instead of a B.
The alphanumeric system is being phased out, and the metric system is used by most companies. In fact, I don't believe there is an alpha designated tire wider than a 140.

100 = J
110 = L
120 = N,P, or R
130 = T
140 = U
