Just sitting here looking at my ride and thinking,  our 2010 SESG have a 1 year unique paint scheme!  It's looking real good here in the setting sunlight. I'm liking it better by the minute.  :huepfenjump3:

That leaves Washington out ;D

Leaves Calif. out, too.  We've got some roads that even when i hit them in the car or truck I wonder if I just broke a wheel and is the tire going to go flat in five seconds. :nixweiss:

I think they're willing to for sake a little comfort for the kool factor.......trying to attract a little more of the younger set.  Or to make us oldsters look a little younger......or kooler. :2vrolijk_21:

But........if money were no object.......I'd buy a 2011.  For a back up bike. :huepfenlol2:  Hell, it took me a year to get this one where I want it......don't want to have to start that journey over again, so soon.

A rare moment.......my eyes served me right.  While the back tires are both the same size, the 2011 SESG front tire is a lower profile:

2010 SESG........`130/70B18  63H    dry weight 805 lbs.   running weight 848 lbs.

2011 SESG........  130.60B19  61H    dry weight 814 lbs.   running weight 852 lbs.

I spent 8 months deciding if I wanted SESG. Looked foreward to Daytona Bike Week to do the test rides. The first test ride was on a SR and I was "hooked!" Located one in April and took delivery on 4/29. It is everything I wanted, and more. Absolutely NO regrets! Love the color combo, smooth lines on the tank, the power, and much more. The gold leaf Screaming Eagle was the icing-on-the-cake. It MAKES the bike a true CVO.

Stopped at the Wabash In Dealer today (Brandt's) and checked out the FLHXSE2 in Red/black nice machine but the paint treatment puts me in mind of the stock Road Glide paint scheme? You lose 2 gauges to get the the tweeter pods? Personally prefer the look of the Hog tunes pods  :2vrolijk_21:

The lowers are nice with the integrated speakers but not for everyone  :nixweiss:

Definitely do not like the tank redesign to me looks like a softail tank  :nixweiss:

IMHO the 2010 paint schemes are much more desirable.

Glad to see they went back to duals on the stock street glides looks better on a Touring model. Not an ounce of remorse confident I got the right machine for me  :orange:

I'm glad someone mentioned the gold leaf eagle.. I think think it makes the paint job.

Nope. I do like the extra speakers and the ipod dock, but I like the styling of the 10s better (especially the paint schemes). I had a flame blue / pewter sporty and I got sick that blue, but this candy concord just keeps looking richer and richer every day. Lowers are a nice add-on, but I like the styling of the SG better without them, and I like the look of the mustache engine guard for the same reason, it's kind of sportier or more streamlined - even though the little footrests are useless and a little unsightly.

I'm waiting for my 2011 to show up, got it in black/red.  I will openly admit that I toiled for weeks about what to do--2010, or 2011.  In the end it came down to availability of preferences, and difference from existing bikes.

I will love my 2011 dearly, and have absolutely nothing bad to say about the 2010--would have loved that just as much.
