I meant single year in a row.

That it was.  And now by doing the 2009 and 2011 models rather than leaving the 2009 as a sort of orphaned one year model they've made the new model Road Glides the Grover Clevelands of CVO bikes.

If I were in the market for an Ultra type bike it would definitely be the Rio Red/Blk RG Ultra.  I'm not in the market for that type of bike though.  The 09 SERG is special.  There's nothing like it.  It is so cool looking and then it can tour.  The styling is so perfect.  The only issue with mine is the crummy rear shocks.  Going to have to deal with that soon.

In addition, if I knew which bike designer in Willie G's group came up with the 09 SERG I would send the person a fruit basket or something.  Great job.

So Greg, when will the header be updated to include the dULTRA SERG?  Or is it the retro SERG.  With those bags they do have a resemblence to the 00-01.  Retro's OkieDokie.

Honestly, we do have to welcome them into the family.

Oh I really should explore this full site more often.  I see moderators agree that it's not a real SERG and started a new blog line for it.

Why was that?  Did you all decide it's really a Tour Glide regardless of what they called the dUltra?

No plans to trade my 09 SERG. My 09 already has all the addition to make it ULTR'ized except CB and never used it when I had an Ultra. 09's with the extended look bags and the paint designs are far better looking than the 11's.

I was going to copy & paste my comment I posted in the Gen. Discussion about the 2011's but I couldn't find it in the 60 pages. Anyway. I basically said I was apprehensive when I read about the 2011 CVO Road Glide shortly after I found and bought a 2009. Not anymore. I like the looks of my 2009 much better. I am going to hang a Tour Pack on the back at some point but it will be on a quick release. The rear end treatment of the 2009 was a big factor on my decision to buy ( the bag "skirts" just look way cool ), along with the paint scheme.

It was Neal's  (naitrum's) decision and it is his site.  Note HD consideres it a separate model.  Think SEEG vs. SEUC which have separate boards here too.  Does it matter really?  I would not worry about it.  I will keep my SERG.  Prefer it to the Ultra package anyway.  Don't need all the extra weight, lowers, etc.  Not to mention the lack of an eagle.....  My next HD (or bike, for that matter) will have a water cooled motor.

I did a factory P&A Ultra conversion to a vivid black '2000 RoadGlide and loved it. Used to be a full conversion kit available in the Genuine Accessories catalogue. Cost a little under $4k including color matched parts and the CB upgrade for the radio.

After seeing the '11 FLTRUSE at my local stealership, I am 100% positive that I have no interest in trading my '09 Silver Bullet for one. If I were inclined to go that route again, I'd add the lowers and detachable TP to my '09 or purchase a standard RoadGlide Ultra with the 103".

Hey, where's the %&+ing bird! It is funny thou....how so many converted their "Hot rod" to full touring and now comment on the 11 as being too heavy in the extra crap department. Long live the 09 Hot rod SERG...least it came with the eagle! :drink:

Water cooled with a shaft drive.  Sounds like another Beemer's in our future.

Of course it matters.  WINDSHIELDS!  We're going to see a reduction in bandwidth just on duplicating windshield questions and comments.

Probably just another effort by the moco to reduce sales and terminate the RG line.

A Hog in lipstick, is still a hog.  It isn't really a bastard son.  It should be welcomed to the SERG family.

I'll stay with mine, for sure. It took me more than 8 years, to convince
my stealer to bring one to Switzerland. So why should I change now.
I assume, they won't bring the normal RG nor the 2011 CVO RG to
Switzerland again. He has still has a yellow and an o/b in his shop with
around 550 miles and reduced about 4000 bucks.
