tts starting question
« on: August 01, 2010, 10:38:35 AM »

i have an 06 seuc.  I changed the cams to a woods tw5 and put a tts on it.  When the bike is cold always starts up fine, but if it is just a little warm it will turn over a couple time then kinda fire and blow smoke out of the intake.  Then you have to turn the bike over quite a few time before it will start.  What on the tts can i change so it starts easier warm?

I don't know if this is the problem, but a friend of mine had an 06  as well and it did the same thing. We called him chitty chitty bang bang lol. His fix was actually the starter was bad and was stealing all the power from start up. Don't know if thats your problem but it worked for him...

good luck

i was told by steve cole to go to the spark tables and from 70  to 100 kpa at 750 rpms and reduce the spark to  at least zero maybe -25  to -50  if not more  this worked for me,  its kinda like retarding the spark on start up  my be increasing starting  fuel by 5%

What closed bias setting do you guys run?  I have yet to see anyone elses maps to see what all thier timing and other variables are running at.  I have just done all of my own.  I think when i checked my plugs the other day my front one was good and running at 661 bias but my rear was a little lean and took it up to 700.  I think thats the best way to give you a little more fuel running in the closed loop.  Unless i am wrong.
