Speculation of next CVO springer?
« on: August 05, 2010, 10:04:40 PM »

So with all the buzz from the new 2011 CVO's what are everyone's thoughts on ever seeing a CVO springer again?  Its been 2 years now without a CVO springer, I'm kinda wondering if they will revitalize it in another year or so, or if the 09's are the last.  Perhaps there is a precedent with some other model that someone knows of, just wanted to get everyone's opinions...

Don't know if they'll ever make another. CVOs are for deep pocket buyers, most of which nowadays seem to prefer touring bikes. All four CVOs this year have floor boards.

No way they wont build any more, enjoy the least depreciating bike harley has ever produced
simple exercise is how many are up for grabs
better than 07 and 08
these babys are sought after classics

and mine will never be for sale

I agree with Aircooled, 07 is the classic of the three model years with its styling based on the old evo bad boy

I dont believe we will ever see another............if you got one keep it!

Well, not so easy if the painter has to perfectly replicate the original CVO paint... more that 20 layers of paint on the 09! And making sure transparency from metal grind to final clear coat is ok as well as correct metal flake paint is found might turned to be a real challenge for the painter!

While I do like the fat rear tire on the '09 model, I think the rear louvered fender is an abomination...hence all the interest in the chopped fender kits. I much prefer the classic bob tail of the '07 & '08 models.

I hope there will be at least none more - but only if it has a fully chromed springer!  To me, thats what really defines a springer and the reason why I haven't bought a newer springer with painted rear legs.

Found my Amarillo Gold in Jan 07 sitting on the floor of a close H-D store.  Only one in 100's of miles.

Shopped the availability and was offered a Blue one for $2000 less.

Passed on that.  Resale seems to still reflect that as well !

Look closely, only the damaged rebuilt Amarillo's are comparable !

H-D built @ 400,000 units in 2006.

Would like to hear from you 08-09's, what's your story ?  Maybe there is something Special about your Run that you could share ?
