I took a fantastic trip for two weeks the end of June and first week in July this summer. It has just taken me a long time to post the pics. I took the trip solo. I have done several long trips to the Western Rockies before with bike friends, but I wanted to do a solo trip and belive me I will do another. It was great. Lots of riding and no bitching.
I headed south out of Minnesota and zig zagged down to Lousiana, then through northern Texas and New Mexico, through Utah and Nevada to Northern California, Oregon Idaho and back home.
I want to thank all of you that influenced my trip with route changes. Thanks to you, I saw some amazing scenery that I would have missed. Hard to narrate a two week trip. I'll let the pics to that.
Only hit rain for two hours. one hr in two mountain passes. Beautiful weather the whole trip. 100 degrees in AZ and Utah, 35 degrees in the mountains early morning.
Powder each cheek liberally with Monkey Butt powder daily.
First day out, stereo stopped. Dealer found that fuse in Hawg Wired amp had vibrated a foot loose. He replaced it and I had beautiful music for the trip. No mechanical problems at all.

$390 in gas, $700 in motels $85 in T-shirts $? in food
It amazes me how each different area of our country has such unique beauty. I was overloaded with beauty by the time I got home. Can't wait to do the Southeast states next.
