Port Dover Friday the 13th 2010

This was the 50th anniversary of bikers showing up in Port Dover Ontario, Canada, on Friday the 13th.  The busiest 13th yet, being it was perfect weather, mid summer, and the only Friday 13th this year.  An estimated 150,000 people swarmed into this tiny fishing village on the shore of Lake Erie with a population of about 6,000.  Bikes lined Main St. down both sides and up the centre of the street for miles.  It has been estimated that close to 100,000 bikes came to town for this one day event.

Diane and I went up on Thursday night to beat the crouded rush on Friday morning.  We partied the night away with My Daughter (in the picture with me) and her husband in thier vendor tent (where we camped for the night)

Even on the Thursday night before the big day there were about 30,000 people already in town, what a party!

The Bikes started rolling in around 5 AM in a steady stream and just kept coming in all day.
