« on: August 16, 2010, 02:32:30 PM »

Looking to purchase a 7x14 tandem axle V-Nose enclosed trailer.  Please share any comments or suggestions.  Brand suggestions?  Steel vs Aluminum? Any help would be great.

Thank you.

I Have a Haulmark 7X14 V-nose low hauler style. I Love it......It pulls great. Why put your Bikes into something that is not trusted and has the same qualities ?

I have a 5-year old Thule/CargoPro Aluminum.  Nothing fancy but it is 8.5x14 plus the V-nose...love the extra width for two dressers side by side...and our bushtec in the v-nose...but some of those narrow road work sites get interesting!

I use a H&H  101x14 V-nose to haul the bikes behind the Foretravel. Torsion suspension ,LED lighting , Rivetless sides.Compare in price and quality with the others mentioned. They are steel framed and so they are not lite weight.!! ( the Foretravel doesn't notice.)

Sold H & H Shadowmaster that was about 8 years old and bought Alumna 7x14 V-nose.  Night and day difference pulling - the Alumna tracks smooth and straight and easy to pull.  The Shadowmaster was heavy and always felt jerky and rough in vehicle to pull.  I am very glad we spent the extra money - this trailer seems to be built a lot better.  We use lightly in business and set up for motorcycles too.

I also have an Iron Horse single.  This is a light weight for motorcycles that will make you forget your pulling it.  They have wide bodies for two dressers too.  http://www.ironhorsetrailers.com/

Featherlite 6X12 with 2ft into v nose making it 14ft. Pulls nice. Put velcro and netting over the two doors as mosquito screen and can sleep in it.
