How fast is your FLSTSE?
« on: August 28, 2010, 09:20:15 AM »

In Europe there are still some roads without speed limit, mostly in Germany. Last week in one of that roads I checked the top speed of my 2010 FLSTSE which is strictly street legal (European) without any mods and with large windshield (Fatboy nostalgic 19”). I did the test on plain road, without wind, at 300 meters on sea level, 26° C temperature, gasoline 98 oct. (V-Power), the speed was checked with a GPS Garmin Nuvi 550 on board which also demonstrated that the OEM speedometer is very precisely. I reached 150 kmh in 6° (93,20 mph), no more also after a long launch, and 176 kmh in 5°(109,36 mph). Has anybody else done the same test? Which are the results. Are my figures correct? Ciao.

No idea, though when I had my flstse I did try 110mph and realized it wasn't very comfortable.  I miss the unrestricted zones in Germany though... Nothing beat commuting to work at 220k!

I was really curios to understand the real differences between the European (international) model and the original one in terms of performance.

I have done 110mph twice, and had throttle left. At that speed my vision was blurring even with goggles (thanks to the 110B) so I doubt i'll ever try any faster. V&H Big Radius 2 into 2, TTS Mastertune, 93.28hp 110.62 tq.

Hi all,

I will try with my convertible ( I know I have to change my avatar) soon. I life like  5 Km away from Autobahn without speed limits (still most have no speed limits). Mods I did so far in terms of perfomance are : Muffler change (to Harley Screaming Eagle , the ones with out Cathalythics with throughput mod) plus changing the aircleaner to  Heavy Breather (original airclearner on German versions are different from US). Still on standard SE map which is sufficient due to local dealer.

Your kiddin' right? I mean Top End 93? ok, wait a sec, you're not talking mph. All I know is I go by 120mph like it's a stop sign! From there on up, I'm not about to take my eyes off the highway to look at the Speedo!  :2vrolijk_21:

I would expect the numbers for your bike to be more or less like those you report. My SEUltra 09 (a little beefed up) runs 180 km/h in 6th and 210 in 5th gear (rev limit raised).

These are stock choked up barely able to breath running entirely too lean motors... but still, rather pathetic really. SE what?  An EVO 80ci stock softail would do about the same or a little better.

To a small degree, I agree....... No stock Evo (previous evo bikes = 3, and still have an '84 FXRT)  would even come close to a stock 110 CVO. (CVO 110's = 3)

Un-cork the Genie, and these babies run...   8)

Been on HD's since age 16 and none could come close to this CVO 110". My experience with the 80" evos, they sucked.
