Thanks Rick. Hoping things slow down @ work so I can get my life back.

Next will be audio upgrades, I know nothing about this stuff.

Did an easy audio upgrade that gets it done for me. I took the speakers out of the lowers and discovered a quick connect is OE on the SESG speakers. It is a GM Delphi set up with the "female" connector built into the HD speakers.

I'm installing the Hertz 6.5 HCX 165 speakers I ordered from Biketronics with their adaptor kit for the batwing fairing.

Biketronics informed me there has been an issue with these speakers fitting in the lower's speaker box with out some modification. However, I was able to fit them without issue.

I contacted Biketronics and informed them of the OE quick connectors. After several emails with pics, they sent me these adaptors to make this a simple plug and play mod.

Once these were attached to the speakers, the set up is extremely simple.

I popped the HD grills off the OE speakers and attached them to the Hertz speakers on the lowers. The same connectors are on the fairing speakers. I used the same set up with the quick connects for them also. I'm using the OE amp to power the system for now.

The sound is much clearer with these speakers while on the road. I got better mids and a little better bass which was all I think I could expect for the limited mods I did.

I just hope to not catch the audio bug and start chasing after sound.

I also installed a hidden antenna while doing this mod. However after a short trip on the scoot, it was quickly removed. I was surprized just how limited the range was with it. I will give Biketronics credit, they advised me the antenna has gotten mixed results. Further, it has a lifetime warranty as do the speakers. The antenna is going back with no issues.

Anytime you replace "made in China" with made in "Idaho - USA," it's all good! :2vrolijk_21:
