Do both, the 660 and 665, fit the new HD handlebar mount?

I've been looking, kinda, for a couple years now for a GPS.  I bought one of the refurbs, a Tom Tom One about 3 years ago to see how I would like the GPS and for the money that Tom Tom has worked well.

I have the iPod Interface for my HD HK head unit now and will not be interested in XM or the Garmin MP3 ability.

So other than the differences listed here about radar and traffic alerts, is there any major difference and what are some of the best prices you guys have seen?

Thanks for helping the FNG on GPS...

The 665 and 660 use the same mount.  BUT a 665 will not work in a 660 cradle!  Believe me, I know!  Found out the hard way.

If you are an AMA member you might want to price it at Garmin.  When I bought mine the price was $892.49 with AMA membership.

So with this mount from HD, what do you get with it?

I understand that you can run the wiring cable back through the handlebars and into the fairing for a completely hidden look, true?

Basically, if I were to purchase either the 660 or 665, what additional "parts" do I need to buy if I have the HD handlebar mount?

Thanks for the added information.

Don't know for sure, but probably just the chrome piece that attaches to the clutch master cylinder.  The black pieces come with the GPS

Whether you buy the black Handlebar mount ($64) or the chrome($120) as long as they are the HD brand ones you get all parts needed to mount whichever GPS you buy. Nothing else to buy. The 660 is $640 and the 665 is $800, prices @ 20% off from Jenni.
The chrome one replaces the clutch clamp. The black one mounts to the clutch clamp with some small spacers and longer clutch mounting screws. If you buy the GPS from Harley you get a 2 yr warranty vs 1 on the Garmin unit. If you buy the Harley one and the NIM module you can listen thru the radio speakers or the headsets, if you have an Ultra or the Intercom accessory kit, if you buy the Garmin ones you can't. The weather is pretty cool on the 665, just not sure it is worth $160. I already have XM so that is not a selling point for me. But if you didn't have XM that would be available on the 665 only.
Either GPS comes with car mount.

Say you have the HD XM module (which plays through the HK radio), doesn't this already give you weather?
Thanks

I use the 665 on my 010 Ultra CVO.  I hve the XM radio with weather and traffic and love it.  Have had no problems with it and I depend on it.  Rode 30,000 miles last year, and with this set up I can listen to my music from the built in MP 3 player, the xm radio, audio books, and get the voice alerts from the GPS on the intercom.  The 660 from Harley has the advantage of being able to have the interrupt for voice GPS commands no matter what mode the HK radio is in.  I have to have mine on Aux to hear the commands.  Not a problem for me as rarely use any of the other HK radio features.  The weather radar and traffic alerts are what sold me on the 665.

Will the 660 still do this when used with the HD Nav interface?
Thanks

You can put the Heat Demon switch on either side of the handlebars...I had to do that on my '06 because I had the Legend Air Ride switch on the left side.  It looks fine on the right side, the LED is just upside down, but nobody would know but you.
