Tool for the electrical connectors
« on: September 10, 2010, 04:22:42 PM »

Does anybody know where to buy the tool to remove the pins in the connectors for the handlebar wiring for my '10 SESG?? I bought new bars and need to dis-assaemble the connectors to get the wires run inside the bars.

Thanks for any help
Mike

Buying a tool doesn't make it any easier.  A paper clip will work or you can take your small pocket screwdriver and grind down or a piece from a jeweler screwdriver set will work.

Once you have the handlebars off, look at the service manual, you will see how it's done.  Don't be discouraged if it takes 10 minutes to get one  and the rest will follow.

Thanks....I think I may have the green tool that JP cycles sells..but I wasn't sure that would do it. I guess I will dive in when I get back from Delmarva Bike week next weekend.....
